What is Tap the Craft Podcast…
Tap the Craft Podcast is an educational podcast hosted by two craft beer enthusiasts where we talk about craft beer in terms the everyday beer drinker can understand. So whether you are well experienced or new to craft beer, there is something you.
Our aim is to be approachable so our listeners can feel comfortable learning about the craft beer hobby. We are listener driven and enjoy interacting and learning about their craft beer journeys.
A little history…
Tap the Craft Podcast was born in August 2014 by Denny Luce after many of the former 40cast listeners requested a designated craft beer podcast to continue to learn about the craft beer hobby. Denny started solo for the first two episodes hoping to lure his friend John Ream to join as a co-host.
Starting in episode three, John joins the team and provides a vast knowledge of the brewing process through his years of producing award winning home brew. John’s dry sense of humor and ability to quickly counteract Denny’s miss-speaks and opinions makes for an entertaining conversation. After three years John had to leave the show due to time commitments required with opening his own commercial brewery, Trek Brewing in Newark, OH.
Friend of the show, and our Facebook page manager, Kris McKenzie agreed to fill the space left by John and join me as a co-host. Kris provides enthusiasm and exposure to beers from Florida and the east coast which allows us to cover beers from across the country.
Denny and Kris are not craft beer experts, but craft beer enthusiasts who believe if there is a beer style you don’t like, it just means you haven’t tried the right one. We enjoy talking about beer and sharing our experiences with our listeners. We also enjoy interacting with our listeners and learning about their craft beer journeys. We aim to be approachable to all, allowing the novice or experienced beer drinker to gain something from every episode.
